To All of My Patients,
This is a letter to inform you that I sold my practice to Dr James Yoo and I am retiring.
I want to let you know that I feel privileged and honored to be your eye doctor for the past 41 years. I have known many of you for many years and think of you as second family. I enjoyed being with you every single visit! As you know my immediate family is very important to me, especially my new grandbabies. Both of my children recently moved to Austin and I am planning to move there to be with them.
I want to introduce you to Dr James Yoo. I have known Dr Yoo for many years. You will absolutely love him. I would say that both he and I share the love of optometry and our patients. I feel I am leaving you in great hands.
Dr. James Yoo has 15 years of experience in vision and eye care. He thrives on solving difficult visual cases and is genuinely eager to help his patients understand what is going on with their eyes. He always strives to provide the clearest yet most comfortable vision for his patients. He also will always explain all of his patients options.
Dr. Yoo was a part of the inaugural RSA (Refractive Surgery Alliance) Internship. He is one of two optometrists in California who have completed the internship. He is an expert in co-managing refractive surgeries and has co-managed hundreds of cases over the years. Dr. Yoo was awarded the dean’s honor’s list multiple times before graduating from the University of California, Irvine in 2001. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2005. He held internships at the Naval Base located in Yokosuka, Japan, the University Eye Center at Los Angeles, and the Low Vision Clinic in Santa Monica.
I wish everyone the best and again thanking you for being the best patient ever.
Dr Gary Jacobs
